JUDGMENT
1. Allowed, subject to all just exceptions.
2. The application is disposed of.
3. Vide the present petition, the petitioners seek direction thereby for quashing of FIR No.100/2019, dated 24.05.2019 registered at Police Station Jamia Nagar for the offence punishable under Section 135 of The Electricity Act, 2003 and consequent proceedings emanating therefrom. 2020:DHC:1387
4. Notice issued.
5. Notice is accepted by learned APP for the State and counsel for the respondent no.2 and with the consent of the counsel for the parties, the present petition is taken up for final disposal.
6. The present petition is filed on the ground that the parties have settled their disputes amicably before Permanent Lok Adalat on 01.08.2019 and respondent no.2 has no objection if the present petition is allowed.
7. Since the settlement amount has been paid by the petitioners to respondent no. 2 and respondent no.2 has issued no objection certificate, therefore, this Court is inclined to quash the concerned FIR as no useful purpose would be served in prosecuting the petitioners any further.
8. For the reasons afore-recorded, FIR No.100/2019, dated 24.05.2019 registered at Police Station Jamia Nagar for the offence punishable under Section 135 of The Electricity Act, 2003 and consequent proceedings therefrom are hereby quashed.
9. Accordingly, the petition is allowed and disposed of.
