JUDGMENT
1. Vide the present petition, petitioner seeks direction thereby for quashing of FIR No. 216/2016 dated 13.06.2016, registered at PS Tilak Marg and all other proceedings arising therefrom.
2. Notice issued.
3. Notice is accepted by learned APP for State and by respondent nos.[2] to 4 and 6 and with the consent of counsel for parties, the present petition is taken up for final disposal. 2020:DHC:1538
4. The present petition is filed on the ground that parties have settled their disputes and respondent nos. 2 to 4 and 6 have no objection if the present petition is allowed.
5. Respondent nos.[2] to 4 and 6/complainants/injured persons are personally present in Court and they have been identified by SI Pramod Kumar /IO and submit that matter has been settled and they do not wish to prosecute the matter any further.
6. Respondent no.5/injured person is not personally present in Court today, however, counsel for petitioner has informed that he has received whatsapp message from respondent no.5 that she is currently in USA and it is not possible for her to come and she has no objection if the present FIR is quashed with emanating proceedings thereto.
7. Petitioner have entered into an amicable settlement with respondent no.2 to 6 vide settlement deeds dated 22.08.2017 and 14.07.2018.
8. Taking into account the aforesaid facts, this Court is inclined to quash FIR as no useful purpose would be served in prosecuting petitioner any further.
9. For the reasons afore-recorded, FIR No. 216/2016 dated 13.06.2016, registered at PS Tilak Marg and consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
10. The petition is, accordingly, allowed and disposed of.
