JUDGMENT

1. Allowed, subject to all just exceptions.
2. Application is disposed of.
3. Vide the present petition, petitioner seeks direction for quashing of FIR No. 249/2017 dated 19.08.2017 registered at Police Station Kotla Mubarak Pur, Delhi and consequent proceedings arising therefrom.
4. Notice issued. 2020:DHC:1623
5. Notice is accepted by learned APP for State and by learned counsel for respondent No.2 present in person and with the consent of counsel for parties, present petition is taken up for final disposal.
6. The present petition is filed on the ground that parties have settled their disputes and respondent No.2 has no objection if the present petition is allowed.
7. Respondent No.2 is personally present in Court with her learned counsel and she has been identified by SI Ranjit Tokas (IO) and submits that matter has been settled and she does not wish to prosecute the matter any further.
8. Petitioner and respondent No.2 have entered into an amicable settlement before Mediation Centre, Saket Courts, Delhi vide settlement deed dated 28.01.2020.
9. A demand draft bearing No.816652 dated 04.03.2020 for an amount of ₹55,000/- (Rupees Fifty Five Thousand only) towards full and final settlement amount is handed over to respondent No.2 today in Court.
10. Respondent No.2 is present in person and has been identified by SI Sandeep Kumar (IO) and submits that matter has been settled and she does not wish to prosecute the matter any further.
11. Taking into account the aforesaid facts, this Court is inclined to quash FIR as no useful purpose would be served in prosecuting petitioner any further.
12. For the reasons afore-recorded, FIR No. 249/2017 dated 19.08.2017 registered at Police Station Kotla Mubarak Pur, Delhi and consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
13. The petition is, accordingly, allowed and disposed of.
