JUDGMENT

1. Hearing has been conducted through Video Conferencing.

2. Petitioners herein are Staff Nurses who were employed on contractual basis with Respondent No.3.

3. Grievance of the Petitioners is that their Contracts having come to an end, have not been renewed by Respondent No.3.

4. By way of present Petition the Petitioners have sought a limited relief, which is as under: “(a) a writ of mandamus to direct the Respondent No. 1 to take appropriate action on the Petitioners representation dt. 12.07.2020 (Annexure P-5). 2020:DHC:2442 W.P.(C) 4419/2020 (b) Pass such other further order or orders as this Hon’ble Court may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case.”

5. Learned Counsel for the Petitioners, on instructions, submits that he will be satisfied if the limited relief sought is granted, although Respondent No. 3 has filed a detailed Affidavit in which it is brought out that Contracts of 30 Staff Nurses out of the Petitioners have already been renewed and they are willing to call the remaining Petitioners for Assessment for renewal of the Contracts.

6. In view of the statement of Learned Counsel for the Petitioners, Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to Respondent Nos. 1 and 2 to decide the Representation dated 12.07.2020 within a period of three weeks from today.
