JUDGMENT
1. Petitioner herein was working at the relevant time as Research Officer (re-designated as Assistant Director) with the National Institute of Labour Economics Research & Development (NILERD), erstwhile Indian Agricultural Research Institute. According to the Petitioner, he was prematurely retired by NILERD vide order dated 10th December,
2019. Aggrieved by the alleged illegal premature retirement, Petitioner made a Representation on 12th December, 2019 followed by 2020:DHC:2787 Supplementary Representations/ Reminders on 17th March, 2020 and 13th August, 2020.
2. Prayer of the Petitioner in the present petition is limited to a direction to the Respondents to dispose of his Representations/ Supplementary Representations, which have been pending with the concerned Respondents for a long time.
3. Issue notice.
4. Mr. Anirudh Sharma, Advocate accepts notice on behalf of Respondent No.1.
5. Mr. Sanjay Kumar Das, Advocate accepts notice on behalf of Respondent Nos. 2 to 4.
6. For the reasons stated in the petition, the petition is disposed of with a direction to Respondent No.1 to decide the Representations/ Supplementary Representations of the Petitioner dated 10th December, 2019, 17th March, 2020 and 13th August, 2020 within a period of four weeks from today.
7. Needless to state that the order shall be a speaking order and shall be conveyed to the Petitioner within a period of one week after the decision is taken. Petitioner is at liberty to resort to appropriate remedies available to him in law in case any grievance survives after the disposal of the Representations/ Supplementary Representations.
