JUDGMENT

1. This is a petition under Section 29A(5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, for extending the time for adjudication of the dispute and passing of award by the learned sole arbitrator by a period of six months.

2. Learned counsel for the parties submit that the dispute stands settled between them.

3. In my view, as the learned sole arbitrator is in seisin of the dispute, it would be appropriate that this submission be made before him. 2020:DHC:3242 O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 250/2020

4. Accordingly, the period for concluding of proceedings and passing of award by the learned sole arbitrator stands extended by a period of six months from today.

5. The petition stands allowed and disposed of accordingly.
