JUDGMENT
1. Present writ petition has been filed by the Petitioner seeking directions to the Respondents to regularize/absorb the Petitioner on the regular post of Lecturer in Radiological Physics in the Department of Radiology/Radio-diagnosis, University College of Medical Sciences, 2020:DHC:3619 Delhi University, with all consequential benefits, including the age of superannuation from 60 to 65 years.
2. At the outset Mr. Anuj Aggarwal learned counsel for the Petitioner draws the attention of the Court to a representation sent by the Petitioner on 31.12.2019 to the Dean of the Faculty of Medical Sciences, seeking change of nomenclature/up-gradation/re-designation of his post of Physicist (Radiological Physics) in the Department of Radiology/Radiodiagnosis to a Lecturer in Radiological Physics, as according to the Petitioner he fulfils all educational and other qualifications required for the post of Lecturer.
3. Mr. Aggarwal, on instructions, submits that Petitioner would be satisfied if a direction is issued to Respondent No. 2/Vice-Chancellor of the University of Delhi, Faculty of Science, to dispose of the said representation, within a time bound manner.
4. Issue notice.
5. Mr. Mohinder J.S Rupal accepts notice on behalf of Respondent No. 1.
6. Ms. Seema Dolo accepts notice on behalf of Respondent No. 2.
7. Mr. Apoorv Kurup accepts notice on behalf of Respondent No. 3.
8. In view of the above, writ petition is disposed of directing Respondent No. 2 to decide the representation of the Petitioner dated 31.12.2019, within a period of three weeks from today.
9. The decision so taken shall be communicated to the Petitioner within a period of one week from the date of the decision.
10. In case the Petitioner has any surviving grievance after the decision is taken and communicated to him, he shall be at liberty to approach the Court, in accordance with law.
