JUDGMENT
Proceedings in the matter have been conducted through video conferencing.
1. This public interest litigation has been preferred with the following prayers:- “In view of the facts & circumstances stated above, it is prayed that this Hon'ble Court in public interest may be pleased to: a) issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ to prevent the outbreak of Covid-19 Virus outbreak in khyala Village, New Delhi by directing the Respondent No-1 to restore sufficient water supply to all parts of Khyala Village, New Delhi through its existing pipelines, and direct Respondent No-2 to restrain and stop the 2020:DHC:3545-DB W.P.(C) 9940/2020 illegal factories running in the residential area of Khyala Village, New Delhi; b) issue such other writ, direction or order which the Hon'ble Court deems fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the present case.”
2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it will suffice for the disposal of this writ petition if the concerned respondent authorities are directed to decide the representations preferred by the petitioner.
3. In view of this limited submission, we direct the concerned respondent authorities to treat this writ petition as a representation and decide the same in accordance with law, rules, regulations and Government policies applicable to the facts of the case, as expeditiously as possible and practicable.
4. With this observation, this writ petition is disposed of.
