JUDGMENT
For the reasons stated in the application and in view of the present prevailing situation, the present application is allowed. However, the applicant is directed to file duly signed and affirmed affidavit within a period of one week from the date of resumption of regular functioning of the
Court.
Application is disposed of.
1. Present Public Interest Litigation has been preferred seeking the following reliefs:- 2021:DHC:2875-DB “(a) A writ of mandamus to direct the Respondents to consider permitting visitors in religious places in Delhi subject to strict compliance of covid protocols, and; (b) Alternatively, direct the Respondent No.1 to take necessary action on representation dt. 25.07.2021 of the petitioner.”
2. We have heard the learned counsels appearing on behalf of the parties and have looked into the facts and circumstances of the case.
3. Petitioner herein seeks directions to the Respondents to consider permitting visitors in religious places in Delhi, subject to strict compliance of COVID-19 protocols and alternatively, a suitable direction to the concerned Respondents Authorities to decide the pending representation dated 25.07.2021, preferred by the Petitioner (Annexure P-4 to the memo of this petition) and take necessary action.
3. In view of the aforesaid limited submission, we hereby direct the concerned Respondents Authorities to look into the grievances ventilated by the Petitioner in the representation dated 25.07.2021 and decide the same, in accordance with law, Rules, Regulations and Government policies, applicable to the facts of the case. This exercise shall be completed as expeditiously as possible and practicable.
4. With these observations, writ petition is disposed of.
