JUDGMENT
Proceedings have been conducted through video conferencing.
1. Present Public Interest Litigation has been preferred seeking the following reliefs:- “(i) Direct the respondents or any other authority to make the proper arrangement of the security as per the security arrangements of Delhi High Court Complex.
(ii) Direct the respondent to take appropriate action against the guilty officers responsible for the loss of this kind of negligence. 2021:DHC:3140-DB W.P.(C) 11161/2021
(iii) Direct the respondent to not allow the litigants and lawyers without verification of their Id cards not only in the court building but court complexes also.
(iv) Direct the respondents to make the bio-metric identity card for the advocates of Delhi and to make separate entry for lawyers by using their biometric Id cards so that fake man cannot enter.
(v) Direct the respondents to install the body scanner, metal detector at every gate of the court complex to stop the criminals to carry any kind of weapon in the court complex.
(vi) Allow the cost of the proceedings.
(vii) Pass any other order (s) as deemed fit and necessary to secure the ends of justice.”
2. We have already taken suo moto cognizance of the incident of firing at the Rohini Court Complex in Writ Petition being W.P.(C).11191/2021, titled as Court on its own motion vs. The Commissioner of Police and Ors. In view of this, we are not entertaining the present writ petition so as to avoid multiplicity of litigation.
3. We, however, grant liberty to the Petitioner to take recourse to appropriate remedy for intervention in the aforesaid petition.
4. With these observations, the writ petition is hereby disposed of.
