JUDGMENT

1. This is an application filed by Ms. Olivia Bang, who is the counsel on record for the petitioners.

1.1. The prayer made in the application is that, Ms. Bang would like to withdraw her vakalatnama.

2. On being queried, Ms. Bang has drawn our attention to a communication received from petitioner no.1 i.e., Mr. Dheeru Yadav, albeit, via e-mail, which is appended to the above-captioned application.

2.1. It is averred that; the aforesaid communication was received on 28.08.2019.

2.2. It appears that, the petitioners do not wish to continue with the 2021:DHC:2937-DB petition, as, according to them, respondent no. 3 i.e., Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has already filled up the seats reserved for SC, ST and OBC candidates.

3. Ms. Bang says that, she was under the impression that, if this writ petition was withdrawn, the other connected petitions would also get collapsed.

3.1. According to us, the apprehension of Ms. Bang is, misplaced.

3.2. Therefore, the petitioners would be at liberty to withdraw the abovecaptioned petition.

4. Given this position, Ms. Bang says that, she does not wish to press the above-captioned application but instead seek withdrawal of the abovecaptioned petition, as per the instructions received from the petitioners, including petitioner no.1.

4.1. Accordingly, the application is closed. W.P.(C) No.5312/2018 & CM APPL.20619/2018, 30507-30508/2018 42284/2018, 32618/2021

5. As noticed hereinabove, Ms. Bang, on instructions, seeks withdrawal of the above-captioned petition.

5.1. Counsel for the respondents, as indicated above, i.e., respondent no.1/UOI, respondent no.2/UGC and respondent no.3/JNU, say that, they have no objection.

6. Therefore, the writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn.

7. In CM No. 32618/2021, the prayer made in this application is to grant exemption from filing notarised affidavit. The said application is disposed of with a direction to the applicant i.e., Ms. Bang, to file duly notarised affidavit, within ten days from today, notwithstanding the disposal of the case.

8. Accordingly, the pending applications shall also stand closed.
