JUDGMENT

1. Mr. Anirudh Bakhru, who appears on behalf of respondent no.2school, informs us that, the petitioner has been granted admission in the nursery grade.

2. It is, however, Mr. Bakhru’s submission that, on the Directorate of Education [in short “DOE”] portal, the petitioner’s admission has been shown in Class I, and therefore, it requires to be rectified. 2021:DHC:3288-DB W.P.(C) 14108/2018

2.1. Mr. Siddharth Krishna Dwivedi, who appears on behalf of respondent no.1, in effect, DOE, says that, necessary rectification will be carried out.

3. Ms. Shikha Sharma Bagga, who appears on behalf of the petitioner, affirms the position that, the petitioner has obtained admission in respondent no. 2-school.

4. Given the aforesaid circumstances, the writ petition is closed, with a caveat that questions of law raised therein shall remain open for consideration in a suitable case.

4.1. Respondent no. 1 shall carry out the necessary rectification, as indicated above.

4.2. Consequently, pending applications shall stand closed.

5. We extend our gratitude to Mr. Anirudh Bakhru and other counsel who assisted us, for taking a constructive stand in the matter.
