JUDGMENT
1. Present Public Interest Litigation has been preferred seeking the following reliefs:- “(A) Issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ(s) or order(s) or direction(s) to Respondents to remove the brick walls and open the access of the both the gates for senior citizens, childrens, local residents and public at large at the gates of 46 Block of East Patel Nagar New Delhi
110008. (B) Pass such any other and further order(s) as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the facts and Circumstances of the case and in the interest of Justice.” 2021:DHC:3809-DB W.P.(C) 13237/2021
2. We have heard learned counsels appearing on behalf of the parties and looked into the facts and circumstances of the case. It appears that several grievances have been ventilated by the Petitioner regarding the construction of the brick walls, which are allegedly blocking the ingress of the senior citizens and the children residing in the vicinity of the MCD Park in question and directions are sought to the Respondents to remove the said walls.
3. Learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that representation dated 16.09.2021 (Annexure P-2 to the present petition) has been preferred, but there has been no response and/or action by the Respondent.
4. We hereby direct the Respondent to look into the grievances ventilated by the petitioner in the aforementioned representation and decide the same, in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible.
5. With these observations, Writ Petition is hereby disposed of.
