JUDGMENT
1. The petitioner suffers from 12% orthopaedic disability owing to fractures which he sustained in 17 February 2023.
2. As a result, he would become unable to perform his duties as Constable in the Railway Protection Force, which was the post being occupied by him.
3. By means of this writ petition, the petitioner prays that an independent Medical Board be constituted by the AIIMS to examine his case and, further, that he be appointed in an alternative suitable job.
4. During the pendency of these proceedings, the respondents have W.P.(C) 14891/2024 found the petitioner suitable to work as Commercial Cum Ticket Clerk on alternative employment, in view of his medical disability.
5. Mr. Viplav Acharya, learned SPC for the respondents has handed over across the Bar, a communication dated 3 July 2025 stating that the petitioner has been found fit to be employed as Commercial Cum Ticket Clerk and that the training course for the said post was to take place between 1 July 2025 and 11 September 2025.
6. Mr. Jagjit Singh, learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has undergone the said training course but has not been issued any appointment order as Commercial Cum Ticket Clerk.
7. We accordingly dispose of this writ petition with a direction to the respondents to issue the requisite appointment order to the petitioner as Commercial Cum Ticket Clerk within a period of two weeks from today.
8. The writ petition stands disposed of in the aforesaid terms.
