1. This petition voices a grievance against the petitioner having been disqualified for recruitment to the Indian Coast Guard on the ground that he had submitted a Residential Certificate instead of a Domicile Certificate. The petitioner asserts that this was by a misconception and that the Domicile Certificate has actually been obtained on 10 November 2025.
2. Mr. Neeraj, appearing on behalf of Mr. Sahaj Garg, SPC, very fairly submits, on instructions, that the respondents are willing to consider the petitioner’s candidature but that the consideration would W.P.(C) 18888/2025 be for the next batch of 2025-2026.
3. Mr. Sharma, learned counsel for the petitioner, on instructions, is agreeable to this suggestion.
4. Accordingly, we dispose of the writ petition with a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner’s candidature on the basis of the Domicile Certificate now obtained by him, for the next batch of 2025-2026.
5. The writ petition is disposed of, accordingly.
