2. In the counter affidavit filed on behalf of Respondent No. 2/FCI it is stated that reimbursement of the medical charges to the tune of Rs. 2,08,510/- has been done which includes cost of surgery of Rs. 78,510/- and cost of implant of Rs. 1,30,000/-. Neutral Citation Number: 2022/DHC/005759 W.P.(C) 5349/2019
3. Insofar as the remaining amount of Rs.86,000/- is concerned, the stand of Respondent No. 2 is that since no bill/invoice from AIIMS has been furnished by the Petitioner towards the knee surgery the reimbursement could not be made.
4. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of Respondent No. 2 submits that in case the Petitioner furnishes a bill or invoice duly endorsed and verified by AIIMS, the same shall be processed for reimbursement within a period of ten days from the date of receipt of the invoice from the Petitioner.
5. Learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that the needful shall be done by the Petitioner and the bill/invoice duly verified by AIIMS shall be furnished to Respondent No. 2 within a period of ten days from today.
6. Writ petition is accordingly allowed giving liberty to the Petitioner to forward the bill/invoice as required under the Circular to Respondent No. 2 and the concerned officials, on receipt thereof, shall process the claim of the Petitioner within two weeks thereafter. Needless to state that if Respondent No. 2 finds any discrepancy in the bill or requires any further clarification, due intimation in that regard shall be given to the Petitioner.
7. Writ petition stands disposed of.
