1. The petitioner in his petition has made following prayers: a) To enhance the superannuation age of Doctors/ Medical Officers working in General Reserve Engineering Force/ Border Roads Organization including the petitioners from 60 years to 65 years.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that for the relief sought in the present petition, the petitioner made a representation dated 08.12.2022 and 11.02.2023. The said representations were replied by the respondents vide Reply dated 21.02.2023 and in the Annexure thereto and it is stated that NEUTRAL CITATION NUMBER: 2023:DHC:2673-DB W.P.(C) 4951/2023 the proposal has already been submitted to MOD (BR) during September, 2018 and further reply to the queries have also been submitted on 18.06.2020.

3. In view of the above, since the decision is pending with the Ministry of Defence, we hereby dispose of the present petition directing the Ministry of Defence to take final decision on the issue raised in the present petition within eight weeks from today.

4. The decision so taken shall be communicated to the petitioners within one week thereafter.

5. Needless to say, if the petitioners still aggrieved by the decision taken by the Ministry of Defence, they may challenge the same before the appropriate forum.
