1. The petitioners who are employed as Commandants in the Indian Coast Guard and who are scheduled to retire at the age of 57, have moved this writ petition praying that their age of retirement be extended to 60.

2. An identical issue has come up before this Court in Cheeli J Ratnam v. Union of India[1] and a batch of similar matters which have been decided by us by judgment dated 24 November 2025, in which we have held that all personnel in the Coast Guard are entitled to retire at 60.

3. Mr Dhananjai Rana, learned CGSC for the respondents, 2025 SCC OnLine Del 8573 W.P.(C) 18671/2025 acknowledges the fact that the case is covered by our decision in Cheeli J Ratnam.

4. Accordingly, it is declared that the petitioners would be entitled to retire at the age of 60.

5. The writ petition stands allowed accordingly.
