JUDGMENT

1. Major Anish Muralidhar, who appears for the petitioners submits that this case is covered by the earlier decisions of this Court including UOI v. Ex Sub Gawas Anil Madso[1].

2. The relief of broad-banding may be provided prospectively from the date of the judgment of the Supreme Court in Union of India v Ram Avtar[2]. 318 (2025) DLT 711 2014 SCC OnLine SC 1761 W.P.(C) 18723/2025

3. Subject to the aforesaid modification, the decision of the AFT is upheld.

4. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
