1. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner has sent a legal notice dated 14.11.2022[3] to the respondents to consider petitioner’s promotion to the rank of ASI.

2. Learned counsel for the respondents submits that petitioner has given legal notice only on 14.11.2023 and the same is under active consideration of the Competent Authority.

3. In view of the above, this petition is disposed of directing W.P.(C) 16706/2023 the respondents to treat the petition as a representation and to dispose of the same within a period of six weeks in accordance with law.

4. Needless to state that petitioner shall be entitled to avail further remedy in law, in case aggrieved by any order on the representation.

5. Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
