JUDGMENT

1. The petitioner applied in 2020 as well as in 2022 to the respondent-Directorate General of Training for grant of affiliation for inducting six units in the electrician trade in its institution.

2. As the applications were pending, the petitioner, by the present writ petition, seeks issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to inspect the petitioner’s institution and decide the petitioner’s application for grant of affiliation for six units in the electrician trade expeditiously.

3. Ms. Amrita Prakash who appears for the respondent submits that the inspection would positively be carried out on 4 April 2024. W.P.(C) 12492/2023

Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of recording Ms. Prakash’s statement that the inspection of the petitioner’s institution for considering its application for grant of affiliation of six units in the electrician trade would take place on 4 April 2024, and directing the respondent to take a decision on the petitioner’s applications within a period of four weeks thereof and to communicate the decision to the petitioner immediately thereupon.

5. This writ petition stands disposed of in the aforesaid terms.
