1. The grievance of the petitioner-school is directed against a communication dated 1 February 2023 addressed to the petitioner by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), which states that the CBSE is in receipt of a complaint against the petitioner-school and that the affiliation status of the petitioner-school has been debarred on the Online SARAS portal.

2. Ms. Manisha Singh, learned counsel for the CBSE, submits, on instructions, that in fact the petitioner-school has not been disaffiliated and that the CBSE has addressed a clarificatory letter to the Prime Minister’s office on 1 January 2024, which is annexed as Annexure P-40 to this writ petition. She submits that reflection of the petitioner as debarred on the SARAS Portal is apparently incorrect. WP(C) 5872/2024

3. The grievance in the petition are directed against debarment of the petitioner-school. In view of the submissions made by Ms. Manisha Singh, the grievance in the petition does not survive for consideration. The petitioner would therefore be permitted to access the SARAS Portal.

4. Ms. Manisha Singh submits that, nonetheless, the petitioner has been issued a show cause notice on 23 February 2024, which is presently pending adjudication with the CBSE. The Court is not expressing any opinion thereon. The show cause notice would be proceeded with and dealt with in accordance with law.

5. The petition is disposed of in the aforesaid terms.
