JUDGMENT

1. This is an application by the JNU to place certain additional documents on record. Learned Counsel for the petitioner has no objection. The documents are taken on record.

2. The application is allowed accordingly.

3. Mr. Krishnam Mishra, learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that his client has now secured admission to the Ph.D. course in the next year on being selected thereto on merits.

4. However, he submits that the writ petition would nonetheless survive insofar as he seeks compensation from the JNU for having made the petitioner lose a year.

5. Mr. Saha, learned Counsel for the JNU points out that there is no prayer for compensation in the writ petition. This is found to be correct.

6. In that view of the matter, the grievance in this writ petition does not survive for consideration.

7. The writ petition is disposed of. CM APPL. 15349/2023 (stay)

8. This application does not survive for consideration and is disposed of.
