JUDGMENT

1. These writ petitions are directed against the decision taken by the Northern Regional Committee of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) in its 395th meeting on 2 and 3 March 2023.
2. A reading of the said minutes reveal that they were issued on the basis of letter No. 6/8-2016/DIET (2) dated 7 November 2022 issued by the Additional Chief Secretary of the Government of Haryana, School Education Department.
3. Learned Counsel for the parties are ad idem that the said letter stands quashed by the Division Bench of the High Court of Punjab & Haryana by judgment dated 22 February 2024 in CWP 20342/2023 in Haryana Self-Finance Private Colleges Association v. The State Council of Educational Research & Training (SCERT) Haryana and Others.
4. In that view of the matter, the very basis of the decision taken in the impugned minutes of the 395th meeting of the Northern Regional Committee of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) held on 2 and 3 March 2023 stands effaced.
5. Accordingly, the said decision is quashed and set aside with consequential relief to the petitioners.
6. These writ petitions stand allowed in the aforesaid terms, with no order as to costs.
