JUDGMENT

1. Allowed, subject to all just exceptions.

2. The application is disposed of. O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 530/2024

3. This is a petition under Section 29A(5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 for extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal, presently is in seisin of the disputes between the parties, which is stated to be expiring on 30 September 2024.

4. To a query from the Court, learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that this petition has been moved because Arbitral Tribunal OMP (Misc) (Comm) 530/2024 desired that, in order to enable it to proceed with the matter properly, extension of time from the Court may be sought.

5. Extension of the arbitral mandate is being sought till 31 January

2025.

6. Learned Counsel for the respondent has no objection.

7. Accordingly, the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal shall stand extended till 31 January 2025.

8. The petition is allowed accordingly.
