1. The prayer in the present petition is limited to the effect that a direction be issued to the learned Trial Court to expedite the disposal of the divorce petition filed by the petitioner herein.

2. During course of the arguments, learned counsel for the petitioner informs that the next date before the learned Trial Court is 08.08.2024. It is also apprised that respondent is not rendering due assistance and cooperation as she has not even filed affidavit in support of her evidence. It is also apprised that no list of have witnesses has either been submitted and, therefore, there is no progress in the matter despite the fact that petitioner was able to conclude his evidence on 18.12.2023.

3. Keeping in mind the overall facts and circumstances of the case and the fact that divorce petition was filed way back in the year 2014, present CM(M) 3084/2024 2 petition is disposed of with direction that learned Trial Court, when it takes up the matter on 08.08.2024, shall fix up specific dates for the purpose of recording of evidence of the respondent so as to ensure that there is no further unnecessary delay in the matter.

4. The present petition stands disposed of with the aforesaid observations.
