JUDGMENT
1. This is a petition under Section 11(6) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (“the 1996 Act”)1, seeking reference of the dispute between the parties to arbitration.
2. Learned counsel for the respondents has no objection. but prays that the matters may be referred to the Delhi International Arbitration Centre (DIAC) to appoint a suitable arbitrator, as the amount in dispute is quite small.
3. Accordingly, the dispute stands referred to the DIAC, which shall appoint a suitable arbitrator to arbitrate on the dispute. “the 1996 Act” hereinafter ARB.P. 1001/2024
4. The arbitration shall take place as per the norms of the DIAC and shall abide by its rules and regulations.
5. The arbitrator shall be entitled to charge fees as per the schedule of fees maintained by the DIAC.
6. The learned Arbitrator is requested to file the requisite disclosure under Section 12(2) of the 1996 Act within a week of entering on the reference.
7. The petition stands disposed of in the aforesaid terms.
