JUDGMENT

1. Exemption allowed subject to all just exceptions.

2. Application stands disposed of. O.M.P.(MISC.) (COMM.) 623/2024

3. This is a petition under Section 29A (4) & (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act 1996[1] for extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal in seisin of the dispute between the parties. “the 1996 Act” hereinafter O.M.P.(MISC.) (COMM.) 622/2024

4. It is stated that the mandate of the learned Arbitral Tribunal expired on 14 August 2024.

5. Extension of six months is sought.

6. Learned Counsel for the respondent has no objection.

7. Accordingly, the mandate of the learned Arbitral Tribunal stands extended by six months from today. The mandate shall be treated as continuing from 14 August 2024.

8. The petition stands disposed of in the aforesaid terms.
