JUDGMENT

1. This is a petition under Section 29A(4) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act 1996[1] for extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal, which was in seisin of the dispute between the parties.

2. The mandate of the learned Arbitral Tribunal is stated to be expiring on 28 August 2024.

3. The extension of the mandate of the learned Arbitral Tribunal by three months is sought.

4. Learned Counsel for the respondent has no objection. “the 1996 Act” hereinafter OMP(MISC)(COMM) 616/2024

5. Accordingly, the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal stands extended by three months with effect from 28 August 2024.

6. The petition stands disposed of, in the aforesaid terms.
