1. This is a petition under Section 29A (4) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996[1], for extension of the mandate of the learned Arbitrator, who was in seisin of the dispute between the parties.

2. The mandate of the learned Arbitrator is stated to have expired on 15 September 2024.

3. Learned Counsel for the respondent has no objection.

4. Accordingly, the mandate of the learned Arbitrator stands extended by one year from today.

5. The petition stands disposed of in the aforesaid terms.

6. Learned counsel for the respondent submits that he intends to “the 1996 Act”, hereinafter OMP(MISC)(COMM) 714/2024 move an application before the learned Arbitrator for recall of the claimant’s witnesses. He is permitted to do so. If and when such an application is moved, the learned Arbitrator would consider it on its own merits.
