ORDER

1. Union of India is aggrieved by the decision of the Reference Court enhancing compensation payable to the respondents to 14,340/- per bigha.

2. I note that in all cases, lands in village Mahipalpur were acquired pursuant to a notification dated 23.1.1965 in respect whereof deciding RFA No.122/1978 Hash/var Sing/i vs. UQI, a Division Bench of this Court had fixed fair market value of lands in village Mahipalpur as on 23.1.1965 in sum of 14,34O/- per bigha.

3. It is apparent that the decision of the Reference Court which has followed the decision of this Court in Hash/var S/ncjh's case (supra) has to be upheld and accordingly all appeals are dismissed.

4. Pending applications in all the appeals stand disposed of in terms of the prayers made thereunder.

5. Amounts deposited by the appellants together with accrued interest are directed to be transmitted to the Reference Court for payment to the claimants as per law.
