JUSTICE MI]KTA GT]PTA ORDER 05.07.2011 This petition is listed on an office notice on the basis of a letter received from the Superintendent Tihar Jail. Learned Additional Standing Counsel states that the order be clarified and that would serve the purpose. As per the letter dated 25tr June, 20II of the Superintendent Tihar Jail it is stated that the Petitioner was granted furlough for a period of three weeks vide communication dated 14ft May, 20lI and he was consequently released on 24h Muy, 20lL He was to surrender at the jail on 15e June, 20IL The Petitioner filed the present petition where instead of stating that he was released on furlough h. stated that he was released on parole. After w.P.(cRL) 882/2011 poge 1 of 2 b,: considering the facts of the case, this Court was pleased to extend the parole and since it was a furlough which could not have been extended as per the guidelines of the Government and, thus, an anomaly has come into play. In view of the letter and in the interest ofjustice, it is clarified that the Superintendent Tihar Jail will treat the period of release of the Petitioner from 24hMay,20Il to 15ft June, 20Il as furlough. However, the period of release after the 15ft June, 20lI till 3l't July, 20IL be treated as parole. No further orders are required. Xln,,,b6t-f'lrL N MUKTA GUPTA,J JIILY 05, 2011 'ga'
