1. Petitioners No.l & 2 are present and they are identified by their counsel as well as by the Investigating Officer ASI Deshraj Singh, P.S. Vivek Vihar. ^ 2. This is a joint petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. seeking quashing of FIR No.103/2008 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPG registered at P.S. Vivek Vihar on the ground of settlement having been arrived at between the complainant/petitioner No.l and the accused persons/petitioners No.2 to

3. It is submitted that the FIR is the result of matrimonial discord between the parties which has been resolved and now there is no dispute. Petitioner No.l as well as Petitioner No.2 submits that after the ^registration of the case, they are happily living together for the last two years. A joint statement of petitioner No.l and 2 has been recorded separately and placed on record.

Petitioner No.l confirms that she has arrived at an amicable settlement with the other petitioners of her own accord without any duress or threat from any corner and after the resolution of dispute, she is living happily with the other petitioners in her matrimonial home. She 2011:DHC:10725 states that in interest of her harmonious matrimonial life, she does not want the petitioners No. 2 to 5 to be prosecuted on the basis of her FIR and she has no objection if the FIR is quashed.

5. Learned APP appearing for the State submits that in view of the settlement arrived at between the parties. State has ho objection if the FIR and the proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

6. Since the parties have amicably settled the matter and now there is no dispute left, I feel that no useful purpose shall be served in prosecuting the petitioners No.2 to 5 on the basis of FIR. Accordingly, FIR No. V^103/2008 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPG registered at P.S. Vivek Vihar and the proceedings arising out of the same are quashed.

7. Petition stands disposed of.
