The Award impugned is the Award dated 3'd February, 20Lt vide which compensation in the sum of < 8,77,828/- along with interest at the rate of B% per annum had been awarded in favour of the claimants.
The ground of appeal clearly evidences that the quantum of compensation is under challenge.
Admittedly, permission under Section L7O of the Motor
Vehicles Act has not been taken; this is a mandatory provision in the absence of which the appeal on quantum of compensation cannot be challenged by the appellant.
The appeal is not maintainable and is dismissed accordingly.
