2011:DHC:16082 applications in the year 2007 for being considered for allocation of permanent sites for squatting, which are pending at the end of MCD, and no further information has been received as to their status from the respondent/MCD.
Counsel for the respondent/MCD, who appears on advance copy, states that the present petitions are not maintainable as there is a

Court.
At this stage, counsel for the petitioners seeks leave to withdraw the present petitions, while reserving the right of the petitioners to approach the Ward Vending Committee, MCD for redressal of their grievances as raised in the present petitions. Leave, as prayed for, is granted.
In case the representations of the petitioners are pending consideration before the Committee, the respondent/MCD shall ensure that necessary steps are taken to communicate the order passed today to the concerned Committee, for disposal of the same expeditiously, under written intimation to the petitioners.
The petitions are dismissed as withdrawn, along with the pending applications.
