13,10.2011 By this petition the Petitioner seeks quashing of FIR No. 229/2004 under Section 380/411 IPG registered at P.S. Geeta Colony on the complaint of Respondent No.2.
Respondent No.2 had lodged the said complaint with regard to theft of his television which he got recovered from the Petitioner. Besides the
Petitioner two other accused Ravinder and Kayaz Ahmed were also involved. As per the status report, the FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto qua co-accused Ravinder and Kayaz Ahmed has already been quashed by this Court.

2011:DHC:10094 Respondent No. 2 Mr. Iqbal Ahmed is present in person and is identified by the Investigating Officer. He states that he has settled the matter with the Petitioner and in view of the settlement he does not want to pursue the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto.
In view of the fact that the parties have amicably resolved their differences of their own free will, volition and without any coercion and no useful purpose will be served in continuance of the proceedings, rather the same would create further acrimony between them, it would be in the interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto.
Consequently, FIR No. 229/2004 under Section 380/411 IPG registered at P.S. Geeta Colony and proceedings pursuant thereto are hereby quashed.
Parties have signed this order sheet in acknowledgment of their statements made before this Court.
The petition is disposed of. Order dasti.
