Counsel for the petitioner on instructions states that the petitioner has agreed to pay an amount of Rs.75,000/- towards full and final settlement of the claim of the respondent. Counsel fufther states that he has brought a cheque for a sum of
Rs.37,500/- today in the court and the amount of Rs.37,500/- which was deposited by the petitioner with this court can be directed to be released in favour of the respondent.
Counsel for the respondent on instructions although insisted for the payment of some interest amount but ultimately agreed to accept the said amount as full and final settlement. The cheque for a sum Rs. 37,500/- has been handed over by the counsel for the petitioner to the counsel for the respondent today in the court.
Registry is directed to release the amount of
Rs.37,500/- which was deposited by the petitioner with the court pursuant to the order dated 20.8.2007. The said amount shall be t
