1. Petitioner seeks issuance of appropriate writ and directions against Delhi Development Authority (DDA) for initiating proceedings for converting the property in question from lease hold to free hold and to accordingly, issue a conveyance deed in his favour.

2. Petitioner submits that he had even issued a legal notice way back on 30.05.2024 intimating Authority that he had already deposited the conversion charges of Rs. 49,651.90/- in terms of the challan generated online.

3. Learned counsel for respondent appears on advance notice and submits that though he has not been able to get the requisite instructions in this regard from the Authority and is not aware about the exact factual scenario but he W.P.(C) 15731/2024 2 would have no objection if the present writ petition is directed to be treated as a representation by the Authority and is disposed of in a time-bound manner, after giving opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner has no objection to the above said proposal and, accordingly, the present writ petition is disposed of in aforesaid terms.

5. Consequently, the writ petition is converted into a representation and petitioner is requested to contact Deputy Director, Land and Disposal Department, Vikas Sadan. Petitioner shall visit the above said office and would meet the above said Deputy Director on or after 12.12.2024.

6. After giving personal hearing, such representation be decided within a further period of six weeks.

7. The petitioner would be at liberty to show all the requisite documents to the concerned Authority along with the demand notice which he alleged to have received from the Authority through e-mail/online.

8. All rights and contentions of the parties are reserved.

9. Needless to say, in case the petitioner feels aggrieved by the outcome of his representation, he would be permitted to take recourse to the action as permissible under law.

10. The petition stands disposed of.
