04.05.2012 The petition seeks direction to the respondents to produce Ms. Jeenan Saimar who went missing since 01.05.2011. The petitioner is her father. The averments in the proceedings claimed that Respondent Nos. 4to 6are behind the disappearance and that the police neglected to take further proceedings despite complaint.
The materials available on the record would show that an FIR was lodged on
23.07.2011. The suspects were apparently traced and arrested from Bihar in connection with the disappearance of the petitioner's daughter. Their attempts to secure bails have also been unsuccessful. It is a matter of record that the investigations have been transferred to the Crime Branch. In these circumstances, this Court is ofthe opinion that the petition does not sub-serve any purpose since the police has already taken the necessary action and is seized of the matter. The Writ Petition and pending applications are accordingly disposed of i i O
