07.05.2012 This is a petition for quashing of FIR No. 409/2010 under Sections
498A/406 IPC registered at PS Mangol Puri, New Delhi.
The Complainant/Respondent No. 2 Ms. Imrana is present in person and is identified by her counsel. She states that the Petitioners and
Respondent No.2/Coniplainant have entered into a Compromise. It is further stated that the divorce between the parties has already been effected.
As part of full and final settlement of all the claims ofthe Respondent No. 2, the Petitioner No. 1 has paid Rs. 90,000/- out of which Rs. 55,000/- had already been paid to her and remaining amount ofRs.35,000/-have been paid to Respondent No. 2/Complaint today in Court by cash. She further states
2012:DHC:8284 -7 t? in view of the settlement between the parties, she does not want to pursue the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto.
In view of the fact that the parties have amicably resolved their differences of their own free will and volition and they have no objection to quashing of the FIR, no useful purpose will be served in continuance of the
FIR and the proceedings. Thus, it would be in the interest ofjustice to quash the abovementioned FIRs and the proceedings emanating therefrom.
Consequently, FIR 409/2010 under Sections 498A/406 IPC registered at PS Mangol Puri, New Delhi and the proceedings emanating therefrom are hereby quashed.
The petition is disposed of. Order dasti.
