JUDGMENT
1. Learned Senior Panel Counsel and Government Pleader appear on advance notice.
2. Petitioner is also present in person.
3. This Court has gone through the order dated 03.01.2024 passed by learned Division Bench of this Court in W.P. (C) No. 2823/2016 whereby there was a direction to respondent to reimburse the medical claims preferred by the petitioner, after deducting the amount already paid, along with simple interest @ 7% per annum.
4. No timeframe has been mentioned in the order within which the amount was to be cleared.
5. Learned counsel for petitioner submits that outstanding amount was Rs. 8,83,308/- but the amount, which has been credited in the bank account of the petitioner is Rs. 8,58,678/- and, therefore, there is a shortfall of CONT.CAS(C) 1901/2024 2 Rs. 25,000/- approximately which has not been explained by the respondents.
6. Keeping in mind the fact that the substantial amount has already been cleared, present contempt petition is disposed of with the direction to respondents to re-consider the request made by the petitioner for alleged improper deduction of an amount of Rs. 25,000/- approximately.
7. Let decision be taken in this regard within four weeks from today and be also duly communicated to the petitioner.
8. Needless to say, if petitioner is aggrieved by the outcome thereof, he would be permitted to file contempt petition again.
