1. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that after filing of the present writ petition, there is a significant development.

2. It is apprised that the Joint Committee headed by SDM, Punjabi Bagh, has already, on the basis of the positive reports received from EOW and Punjab Government, recommended DDA to handover possession of the flat to the petitioner.

3. The recommendation in this regard had been made on 19.07.2024 and a communication has also been sent to DDA on said date itself.

4. It is submitted that despite the above said subsequent development, DDA has not yet taken any decision. W.P.(C) 8260/2024 2

5. It is submitted that the petitioner would be satisfied, at the moment, if DDA is directed to consider the above said recommendation in a time-bound manner.

6. During course of the consideration of the matter, one copy of such recommendation letter has been shown to this Court, which be made part of the record.

7. Let one copy of such recommendation letter be also handed over to learned counsel for DDA.

8. Keeping in mind the above said development and the statement made by learned counsel for the petitioner, the present writ petition is disposed of with direction to DDA to consider the above said recommendation given by SDM, preferably, within eight weeks from today.

9. Needless to say, the petitioner would be at liberty to revive his petition in case he feels aggrieved by such decision of DDA.

10. The petition stands disposed of accordingly.
