Rahul Chhabra v. M/S. Dorset Industries Pvt. Ltd

1. Petitioner is facing trial for committing offence under Section 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881.

2. He is aggrieved by the order dated 21.05.2026 to the extent whereby learned Trial Court has declined to cancel his non-bailable warrants.

3. Admittedly, the petitioner has been granted bail but a cursory glance over the abovesaid order dated 21.05.2026 would indicate that the petitioner has not even bothered to submit bail bonds before the learned Trial Court.

4. Learned counsel for petitioner (accused No.3 before the learned Trial Court) submits that he had been, otherwise, appearing before the learned Trial Court and was on personal bond. He submits that the next date before the learned Trial Court is 29.07.2026 and if the NBWs are not cancelled/recalled, there is every possibility of his getting arrested. He submits that he would appear before the learned Trial Court on 29.07.2026 and would submit the bonds and would also make payment of the unpaid cost, if any. CRL.M.C. 4779/2026 2

5. None appears on behalf of respondent despite advance notice.

6. Keeping in mind the overall facts of the case and the limited request made today, the petition is disposed of with the direction that the NBWs issued against the petitioner herein shall remain in abeyance till 29.07.2026 and, as undertaken, on 29.07.2026, the petitioner would appear before the learned Trial Court and would comply with the directions given by the learned Trial Court and would also, if not already, submit bonds to the satisfaction of the learned Trial Court.

7. The petition stands disposed of in aforesaid terms.

8. A copy of this order be given dasti under the signatures of the Court Master.

9. A copy of this order be also sent to learned Trial Court for information and due compliance.
