1. There is a change in counsel as Mr. Siddharth Yadav is now representing the petitioner.

2. The previous counsel-Mr. Nishant Anand stands discharged.

3. The limited prayer of Mr. Yadav is to the effect that the petitioner herein, who is facing trial for committing a sexual assault is behind the Bars for more than four years. He prays that the learned Trial Court may be requested to expedite the trial, particularly keeping in mind his long incarceration. He submits that there would not be any delay from his side.

4. Learned Additional Standing Counsel, who appears on advance notice, also submits that they would also ensure that the concerned material witnesses are produced and examined, without any further delay. W.P.(CRL) 1265/2026 2

5. The next date before the learned Trial Court is stated to be 27.07.2026.

6. In view of the above, the present petition is disposed of with request to learned Trial Court to give requisite priority to the abovesaid trial and to make best endeavour to dispose of the matter, as expeditiously as possible.

7. Needless to say, there would be requisite cooperation and assistance to the learned Trial Court by both the sides.

8. The present petition stands disposed of in aforesaid terms.

9. A copy of this order be transmitted to the learned Trial Court for information and compliance.
