JUDGMENT
1. These two petitions have been filed by the accused persons seeking quashing of the cross FIRs bearing No. 567/2018 and No. 545/2018, both registered by PS Ranhola for offences under Section 323/341/506/34 IPC Date: 2026.07.15 16:48:43 +05'30' and Section 323/341/354/506/34 IPC, respectively, on the ground that parties have compromised the disputes.
2. Learned APP for the State submits that as recorded earlier also recorded on 08.01.2026, State has no objection to these petitions but some deterrent measure must be taken so that in future the parties do not indulge in such violent activities. In this regard, learned counsel for petitioners in both these cases submits that the petitioners in both the cases are willing to deposit cost of Rs. 10,000/- each for some charitable purpose.
3. Statements of parties and the investigating officers have already been recorded by the concerned Joint Registrar.
4. I have spoken with both groups in Hindi and it is stated by them that they have compromised all disputes with each other and now they are living together as peaceful neighbours. It is also stated by them that they do not wish to continue prosecution of each other. Both groups submit that they are willing to deposit Rs. 10,000/- each group for some charitable purpose.
5. Having spoken with both groups, I am satisfied that it would be in the interest of justice not to push the parties through a full dress trial, but in order to ensure that they do not indulge in violence again, as suggested by them only, it is directed that each of these groups shall deposit a cost of Rs. 10,000/- with DLSA (West) within one week. Date: 2026.07.15 16:48:33 +05'30'
6. Accordingly, subject to each of these groups depositing cost of Rs. 10,000/- with DLSA (West) within one week and their submitting the cost receipts before the trial court, both these petitions are allowed and the FIR bearing No. 567/2018 and FIR bearing No. 545/2018, both registered by PS Ranhola for offences under Section 323/341/506/34 IPC and Section 323/341/354/506/34 IPC as well as the proceedings arising out of the same are quashed.
