JUDGMENT
1. Petitioner seeks writ to the State for providing him police protection as he apprehends harm at the hands of his brother, respondent no.2.
2. Learned counsel for petitioner submits that petitioner had civil dispute with respondent no. 2, which dispute got settled, but respondent no. 2 has started threatening the petitioner.
3. Learned ASC assisted by SI Achal accepts notice and submits that the complaint filed by the petitioner is under inquiry as it is a matter of two Date: 2026.07.24 17:02:44 +05'30' W.P.(CRL) 2160/2026 pages brothers in dispute.
4. However, learned ASC has provided mobile phone number of the Beat Constable concerned to learned counsel for petitioner so that petitioner may call up the Beat Constable at the time of distress.
5. That satisfies the petitioner.
6. Accordingly, the petition and the accompanying applications are disposed of directing the local police to respond to the calls of the petitioner at the time of distress and ensure that he is not harmed by respondent no. 2 in any manner.
7. It is made clear that this order shall not be read as believing the allegations of petitioner against respondent no. 2.
