HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE VINOD KUMAR
ORDER (ORAL)
24.07.2026 C. HARI SHANKAR, J.
JUDGMENT
1. The only grievance advanced in this writ petition, which is directed against an interim order dated 26 May 2026 passed by the Central Administrative Tribunal[1] in OA 1512/2026, is that, though “the Tribunal” hereinafter two interim reliefs had been sought in the OA, the Tribunal has only ruled on interim relief (i).
2. We may, for this purpose, reproduce the prayers for interim reliefs as contained in the OA, thus: “(i) Direct the respondent No.1/Delhi Jal Board to maintain status quo qua the services of the applicants, i.e., not to terminate the services of the applicants during the pendency of the present Original Application; and/or
(ii) Direct the respondents to keep 11 posts of Laboratory
3. While we are not inclined to interfere with the impugned order of the Tribunal in so far as it deals with interim relief (i) in the OA, it is true that there is no specific finding with respect to interim relief (ii).
4. With consent of learned counsel, therefore, we dispose of this writ petition with a request to the Tribunal to consider and pass orders on interim relief (ii) contained in the OA as well.
5. We make it clear that we are not expressing any opinion regarding the merits of the said prayer. It would be for the Tribunal to take a call in that regard.
6. For this purpose, we direct the parties to appear before the Tribunal on 7 August 2026. Neither side would be entitled to seek any adjournment on the said date.
7. The writ petition is disposed of in the aforesaid terms.
