ORDER (ORAL)
29.04.2026 C. HARI SHANKAR, J.
JUDGMENT

1. These writ petitions are directed against identical orders passed by the Central Administrative Tribunal[1], issuing notice in the Original Applications filed by the petitioners. One such order reads thus: MA No. 2662/2025 For the reasons stated therein, this MA for joining together is allowed. OA No. 2372/2025 Heard. Issue notice. Mr. Amit Yadav, learned counsel appearing on advance service, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. He seeks and is granted two weeks' time to file reply. Rejoinder, if any, may be filed within two weeks, thereafter. Order Dasti. List on 01.08.2025.

2. These are cases in which the petitioners who had initially been appointed on contract basis were seeking regularisation on the ground that they had continued for long periods of time.

3. Though, there is a considerable body of law in this regard by now, the present writ petitions have been filed only against the aforeextracted order.

4. The grievance of the petitioner can, therefore, be at the highest that the service of the petitioners has not been protected, pending the disposals of the OAs by the Tribunal.

5. We are told that the OAs are listed on 28 May 2026. We, therefore, dispose of these writ petitions with a clarification that the petitioners’ services would not be disengaged by the respondents pending disposal of the OA before the Tribunal.

6. These writ petitions stand disposed of in the aforesaid terms.
