JUDGMENT

1. By these petitions, the petitioners pray for the grant of the Notional Monetary Benefits in replacement pay scale to the petitioners with effect from 01.01.1996 to 10.10.1997, as per the ranks held by the petitioners as on 01.01.1996.

2. In support of their claims, the petitioners place reliance on the W.P.(C) 1706/2025& 1710/2025 Judgment dated 14.08.2024 of this Court in a batch of petitions, including W.P.(C). No. 1022/2023, titled Ajit Singh & Anr. v. Union of India & Anr.

3. Issue Notice.

4. Notice is accepted by the learned counsels for the respective respondents.

5. Having considered the contents of the petitions, we are of the opinion that the respondents should consider the same as a representation of the petitioners and decide upon the same within a period of twelve weeks from today, especially keeping in view the Judgment of this Court in Ajit Singh (supra).

6. In case the petitioners are held entitled to the reliefs as claimed, the same shall be released to the petitioners, however, restricted to the period of three years prior to the date of filing of the present writ petitions. In case the claims of the petitioners are rejected for any reason, the reasoned order thereof shall be communicated to the petitioners, and it shall be open to the petitioners to challenge the same in accordance with law. We make it clear that we have not expressed any opinion on the merit of the present petitions.

7. The petitions are disposed of with the above directions. Pending application is also disposed of.
