07.02.2013 By this petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. the petitioners seek quashing of FIR No. 34/2011 registered under Sections 406/498A IPG at P.S. Lahori Gate, Delhi and the criminalproceedings arising therefrom.
The parties are present in the court along with their respective counsels. They are duly identified by their respective counsels.
Counsel for the petitioners and counsel for respondent No.2 state that all inter se disputes between the partieshave been amicably settled and in tenns of the said settlement, petitioner no.l has agreed to pay a sum ofRs.
7.25 lacs to the respondent no.2 towards frill and final settlement of all
2013:DHC:6798 her material claims inclusive of stridhan, maintenance(past, present and future), pemianent alimony etc. Counsel for the petitioners state that out of the said amount, the petitioner no.l has already paid a sum ofRs.5.25 lacs to the respondent no.2. The counsel for the petitioners has paid the balance amount of Rs.2 lacs by way of pay order to the respondent no.2 today in the court. Counsel for the parties state that the marriage between the parties has also been dissolved by mutual consent vide decree of divorce and

I have heard learned counsel for the parties.
Since the inter se disputes between the parties have been amicably settled and their marriage has also been dissolved, therefore, I am of the view that no useful purpose would be served in keeping the said FIR and the proceedings arising therefrom against the petitioners alive any further. Consequently, the FIR No. 34/2011 registered under Sections
406/498A IPC at P.S. Lahori Gate, Delhi and the criminal proceedings arising therefrom are hereby quashed. r

I have heard learned counsel for the parties.
Since the inter se disputes between the parties have been amicably settled and their marriage has also been dissolved, therefore, I am of the view that no useful purpose would be served in keeping the said FIR and the proceedings arising therefrom against the petitioners alive any further. Consequently, the FIR No. 34/2011 registered under Sections
406/498A IPC at P.S. Lahori Gate, Delhi and the criminal proceedings arising therefrom are hereby quashed. r
